Action Research Really Never Ends

As EDLD 5301 comes to a close, I realize that if you have a passion for research the process never really ends. One action research can lead into so many more. Each one as important as the last. I have made a commitment to check blogs daily and to post to one every day. I know that we all have issues that need addressing or simply need an objective, yet supportive ear, or screen as it were. I look forward to becoming more confident in my blogging as I find it a bit daunting to feel like I have to post. Here's to all of us who have completed EDLD 5301 and happy researching!

I am not the only one!

It seems that there are many of us in this course who are not getting the support, suggestions, nor comments from our peers. I wonder why this is as it is a part of our requirements to follow each other and make comments. I also wonder why our instructor/professor is not following very many of us even though our blog addresses are listed within the resource/document section of EPIC....it is kind of hard to blog with no interest from others.

Action Research Changing Daily

I have stuck to my plan to research the performance of those students assigned to 3 or more days of In School Suspension. My principal really likes the plan and has shared her excitement while discussing the future possibilities! I do still want to stick to the original plan, but as I have previously said, I do see how going beyond ISS and researching those students who are placed in an alternative setting and what happens with their performance will definitely worth researching. I must say that I welcome comments from my peers but find that only 2 are actually following this blog. Where is everyone?

Feeling Calmer

Now that I have completed week 2 assignments I am feeling a bit calmer. I have chosen 3 topics for my Action Research. I am still waiting for my principal to give me more guidance. I expect to visit with her on Friday. I think I am going to go to my assistant principal and see what he thinks....another set of eyes and ears. Can't hurt. I find that another perspective sometimes clears the webs. Watch this space...I am still wanting to address misconceptions of different cultures but will probably choose the GT division and replication topic. I'll let you know. Night all :)

Action Research......

After learning last week that I may need to reword, rework, or resign my initial action research idea, I find that I am at a loss! There have been a couple of ideas surface, but I am feeling a little insecure about my ability to choose something that I am passionate about. Watch this space as I talk through my ideas.
